DAY 1: KAMPALA- ENTEBBE (47 KMS)

Meet and greet at Entebbe International Airport by Crystal Representative who will warmly welcome you and facilitate seamless arrival formalities. You will be transferred to your hotel and be briefed about your safari. Depending on the time of arrival you are advised to have money changed this day.

DAY 2 :KAMPALA- BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONALPARK (490 KMS)

Depart from Kampala early morning and proceed south-west. Have a stopover at the Equator where you will have an opportunity to stand in 2 hemispheres at the same time and take some photos. The drive takes you through savannah grasslands seeing banana plantations and herds of Ankole cattle with their incredible long curving horns. Then you ascend into the Kigezi highlands, known as the “Switzerland of Africa“, with terraced farming and mountain scenery to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. DAY 3: GORILLA TREKKING

Gorilla trekking within Bwindi Impenetrable NP, Track Mountain Gorillas and other primates you will enjoy gorilla tracking within Bwindi. Following breakfast, go for the morning briefing just before searching the forest on this highlight of Gorilla trekking that may take the whole day. You will trek the gorillas through the sloped covered with thick vegetation in the company of a safari guide plus trackers, in search of a mountain gorilla family. The walking can at times be tough and lengthy, however when you finally see the glorious silverback, you will forget all discomforts. On finding the gorillas you will be guided to stay within a 6 meters’’ distance from the gorillas, you will observe them for an hour as you stare into their big brown eyes.

Gorilla trekking activity is unpredictable. It is challenging to foresee the number of hours you will track. The gorilla outing may take anything between 2 and 8 hours. Anticipate walking lengthy distances in steep muddy terrain, at times with rain overhead, prior to meeting the gorillas. You will be required to be in physical condition to track. For purposes of conservation visitors are only allowed to spend just one hour with the gorillas.

Even though the majority of the forests today are not over 12,000 years old, the vegetation of Bwindi has been surviving for at least 25,000 years, and as time went by it has been able to harbour various species of wildlife. Among the wildlife here are 310 butterfly species, 51 reptiles’ species, 200 trees species, 88 moths’ species plus a unique 120 mammal species among which are 10 primates. The primates here include baboon, chimpanzee, black & white colobus, Lhotse’s, red tailed monkeys plus blue monkey, as well as the renowned residents of Bwindi- the mountain gorilla. Bwindi is an ideal destination for watching birds. It has 350 bird species among which are the 7 IUCN red data listed plus 90% of the Albertine rift endemic, species that are challenging or even impossible to see in any other part of East Africa. DAY 4 : BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK – QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK ISHASHA SECTOR (270 KMS)

After breakfast you will be transferred to Queen Elizabeth National park through the stunning savannah grasslands as we head to the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park driving through the Switzerland of Africa well known as Kigezi Highlands with its terraced hillside and winding roads. Ishasha a much more remote and less-travelled part of the Park, but one which has a sense of exclusivity and remoteness. The game densities here are high, and this region has reported some of the largest herds of Elephant anywhere in Uganda, as it is their main migration corridor between Uganda and the DRC.

DAY 5: QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK

Today we have an early morning game drive. Queen Elizabeth National Park is a home of abundant wildlife with grassy plains, and volcanic craters. You may have an excellent opportunity to see lion, leopard, giant forest hog, Cape buffalo, elephants, defass waterbuck, Uganda koi, topi and bushbuck. After lunch go for a boat cruise on Kazinga Channel which joins Lake Edward and Lake George. You may see hippos and other animals drinking at water’s edge. During this launch cruise you will may opportunity to take photographs, game viewing and bird watching with over 550 resident species of colourful birds for you to enjoy. Overnight at. FB

DAY 6: QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK – KIBALE NATIONAL PARK (157 KMS)

After breakfast transfer to Kibale National Park. In the afternoon go for chimpanzee tracking in Kibale forest which is reputed to have the greatest variety and highest concentration of primates in East Africa. The most famous of its 13 species is the
Chimpanzee, our closest relative. Kibale 1450 Chimpanzee represent Uganda’s largest population of this endangered primate. Kibale is also a home to the rare I’Hoest’s monkey. Other primates include the black and white Colobus, Blue monkey, Grey cheeked mangabey, Red tailed monkey, Olive baboon to mention but a few. In the evening you will enjoy a guided nature walk in the tropical rainforest in search of the wild chimpanzees, red-tailed monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys and many others. DAY 7 : KIBALE NATIONAL PARK – MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK ( 441 KMS)

After breakfast transfer to Murchison Falls National Park passing through the countryside, traditional homesteads and farms. Have stop over at Hoima for lunch before proceeding to Murchison Falls National Park. Overnight at. FB

DAY 8: GAME DRIVE AND BOAT CRUISE:

Early morning head for a game drive on the northern bank of the River Nile. Your guide will help you spot elephant, lion, cape buffalo, Roth child’s giraffe, hartebeest, waterbuck, oribi, bushbuck, bohor reed buck, hyena and if you are lucky, the leopard. After lunch, go for a boat cruise to the bottom of the falls. Here you will see the River Nile said to be the 2nd longest river in the world crush through a narrow gorge and forming the magnificent Murchison falls. While on the cruise you will see hippos, crocodile’s elephant, waterbuck and Uganda Kob among others. This is also the zone of many birds, species like goliath heron, Egyptian goose, pelican bee-eater, kingfisher, hornbill, cormorant and the rare shoebill stork. Overnight at your lodge. FB

DAY 9: MURCHISON FALLS – KAMPALA (311 KMS)

After breakfast transfer back to Kampala via the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. The sanctuary houses Uganda’s Rhino reintroduction project. There are 9 white rhinos and tracking is done on foot and takes about 1 and half hours. Overnight at. FB

DAY 10: DEPARTURE
